........visit or stay away from.
Orleagian Snowballs has become a quasi-meeting spot for New Orleanians and all the things we represent and love, but we are closed for the season. I wanted to create a way to remain a resource to you all, so we will utilize this blog. Sometimes I am able to communicate the many events and openings that I am asked to note, but sometimes I am not. So I am going to start acknowledging some of the places I was made aware of, some I have tried and other I have not, but I want to hear about places you visited also. We all like to share VERY good and VERY bad experiences so once I make it to the many New Orleans, Creole, or Cajun restaurants I am advised of I will post my experience and perhaps you will do the same. 5585 New Peachtree Rd (Off of Garcia Dr.) 770-216-9696 'Hal's on Old Ivy' Just Loaf'n
Also please feel free to include events, businesses, products, restaurants and venues that you think would be valued or operated by New Orleanians. Remember: New Orleanians are RESPECTFULLY opinionated, but please note very honestly opinionated. So, if you visited a place that is good by your standard or want to see what is good by ours leave a post. Communicate your thoughts with the many natives of New Orleans, the people who miss it, and those who love it.
Copeland’s of New Orleans:
I know, I know, its not a HIDDEN gem, but it has one…..Spinach & Artichoke Dip.
I went there practically every Sunday (Our busiest day of business) after work for this delicious appetizer. Its not ordinary S&A dip, it is made with fried bow tie pasta, that if eaten alone is fantastic, but topped with the dip it is second to none.
